Testimonial
"I hired Kimsey Self to help me include strength training into my daily and weekly exercise schedule.  She set up 3 different routines for me and I use them today.  She is very motivating and excited about what she is doing. I found Kimsey really lives what she teaches.  I have seen her out on the trials hiking and in the gym, exercising.  We have also discussed how very important nutrition is.  I can see how my body has gotten stronger and performs better.  I plan to have some more sessions with her, as I progress and will need some more direction." .... FITNESS TRAINING

Class Options - Core Strength and Stretching

Core Strength

This moderate level class promotes improved balance and posture by strengthening the vital muscles that encompass, move, and support the axial skeleton, including the abdominals, back, and pelvis.  A stronger core encourages more controlled movement of the limbs and body, making everything from simple every day activities to sport-specific actions easier. The class utilizes very little equipment and relies simply on the natural weight of the body, making the routines easy to do while at home or traveling.

Stretching

This class provides a full body stretch while promoting increased joint mobility and decreased muscle tension through utilizing static and dynamic stretching activities. Techniques originate from yoga, pilates, and traditional stretching strategies in order to target every angle of the large muscle groups. Participants will leave feeling relaxed yet invigorated as their muscles continue to thank them throughout the day!

*To ensure an effective stretch, participants are encouraged to attend the previous core strength class or soak in the natural hot springs for 15 minutes prior to the class as a means of warming the muscles. Warm muscles stretch more safely and effectively than cool muscles by decreasing the risk of pulling or tearing.
